I am an Agent. How do I register my clients?

There are two options available for you to register your clients:

We will be in contact with listed agents of successful performers who are offered a Universal Parks & Resorts contract after the auditions. OR
  2. You can complete the registration form on behalf of your clients. Please note we can only accept one application per email, so if you intend to register multiple performers, please ensure you have a unique email address to use for each one.

How do I select just one category to audition for when I’m good at more than one?

To register for an audition, you will need to carefully read all roles of interest to you and check the specific role requirements in detail. Then select your primary audition category (the category that best describes you). You will be given the opportunity to indicate your interest in other categories during registration. Initially, you will be considered for the category/categories you have chosen, however, based on what the panel sees in your audition, they may decide you are better suited for a different category or role.

Can I register for more than one category?

Each performer will register for their primary category and can then select more roles as you proceed through registration. It is our recommendation that you read the role requirements thoroughly and select the category in which you are strongest and most suited first. Please note that after viewing your submission, the panel will consider you for other categories and roles if they feel that you would be strongly suited to another role.

When will I hear back regarding my online audition?

The panel will review your application and respond ASAP. Due to the sheer volume of submissions, it might take up to 14 days for the panel to respond. Please ensure you keep an eye on your junk/clutter and spam folders just in case correspondence is automatically sent to this folder.

When will I hear back regarding my Final Callback audition?

Final casting for both parks is an enormous task that takes time. We appreciate your patience in the time after you perform a final callback. All casting will be finalised by December and all final callback auditionees will be given an audition outcome. Please ensure you keep an eye on your junk/clutter and spam folders just in case correspondence is automatically sent to this folder.

Can I get feedback on why I wasn't successful?

We are unable to provide feedback to casting outcomes based on the enormous numbers of auditions we see. There are many factors that go into deciding suitability for a role. We encourage you to continue working on your skills and we look forward to seeing you again at future auditions.

  When do registrations close online?

The deadline for applications is July 8th 2023, unless submission capacity is reached sooner. We recommend registering as soon as possible to allow enough time for your application to be processed and giving you time to prepare the audition materials we may request.

I don’t have a recent headshot. What should I do?

It is important the photos we receive from you are current. If, and only if, you don’t have a current, professional head-shot and full-length photo available, one taken within the last 12 months, you may send photos taken with your mobile phone. Please make sure that all photos are the best possible representation of you by having someone else take them.

The Casting Panel need clear and realistic images to ensure suitable roles and categories are allocated to each performer. Ensure your photo is only of you, against a plain backdrop and you are not wearing hats or sunglasses and NO FILTERS.

I haven’t heard back regarding my application.

If your registration form was completed correctly, you will have received a confirmation message on your screen to acknowledge receipt of your registration. Before contacting us, please check your junk/clutter and spam folders for a ‘Thank You for Registering’ email. This is sent within an hour of receiving your online registration to the email address you specified. If you still haven’t received any email correspondence from us, please contact us.

Help! I am experiencing issues when I register.

Error messages will occur when there is an issue with your registration.

Please ensure your headshot, full-length shot and resume files are no larger than 2 MB each. Larger files cannot be loaded and may produce error messages when registering.

Also ensure you have completed all mandatory fields which feature an asterisk (*).

If you have registered correctly, you will have received a confirmation message onscreen when you hit submit – this can take a minute or two to appear.

Note: you can only register once. If you have tried to register a second time an error message will appear.

If you are still experiencing problems, please contact us.

How much time do I have to record my audition?

Should your registration be successful in securing an online audition, you will be required to record an audition video. Generally, you have 7 days to return your audition video. Your email will stipulate the time in which we need to receive your completed video. In the event you don't meet this deadline, we reserve the right to decline your application.

Can I request a time extension?

In exceptional circumstances, we will do our best to accommodate late submissions. However, no guarantees can be made due to the tight timelines our team must follow.

How hard are the movement/dance combinations?

As part of the audition, you will be supplied a video tutorial of a dance combination. There are four levels of combinations: Actors, Singers, Dancers and Ballet Dancers. Each combination is specific to the role for which a candidate is being considered and all combinations present a certain amount of challenge. Please take your time to learn the choreography – and stay safe! The most important thing we want to see is a fun, energetic performance.

Will I be taught a dance routine or will I need to make one up?

You will be sent a video of a dance combination as part of the audition material packs. You will need to record yourself performing and upload to the link supplied.
